There is a story told of a public figure explaining to an audience that every time they click their fingers a person dies. Their point is the number of people who are dying. It keeps happening. All very dramatic and moving. But then soemone in the audience who doesn't quite get it shouts out "Stop clicking your fingers" believing that will solve the probem.
